Alan McNab
This story is about a fellow named Alan MacNab, high chief priest of the clan MacNab.
The clan MacNab had their stronghold, Castle Nab, on a tiny wee island in a loch called Loch Nab which nestled in the magnificent Glen Nab in the dead centre of the ancient circular country of Nab.
I was told the story by my uncle George who had heard it from some drunk in a pub in Glasgow who in turn had been told it by a french monkey called Henri who travelled the world in a wee yellow dingy with a blue square sail, telling stories and selling succulent olives to the unaware or misinformed.
Alan MacNab was a kind and gentle man. He had no wife nor children but was loved by many of the clan as a father, friend and confidant. He ministered to the peoples spiritual needs and made a lovely brew of nettles and heather. He was good at listening and coming up with some sort of sage advice for most situations. That's why he was the high chief priest. In fact he was the only priest, but that's by the by.
